About us
Founded in 2018, the ICA World Foundation empowers the next generation of global citizens through informal education, training, and international traineeships.
With a strong focus on development cooperation and on advancing key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we work with our global network to build a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous world by nurturing youth perspectives from the earliest years to professional life.

Our Initiatives
From childhood to professional life, ICA World Foundation supports young people at different stages of their journey. We nurture reflective thinking, guide academic and career choices, open doors to international experiences, and provide advanced training for professionals, creating a continuous pathway of empowerment in the field of development cooperation.

REFLEXIO
Reflexio helps young people develop critical and reflective thinking skills. By learning to question information, explore diverse perspectives, and engage in constructive dialogue, they become better prepared to face challenges, make thoughtful choices, and contribute actively to a more inclusive society.
Development Cooperation Awareness Raising
Initiatives designed to raise awareness about development cooperation, introduce young people to professional pathways in the sector, and provide tailored learning opportunities in collaboration with universities and schools.

Young Professionals in
Development (YPD)
The YPD Traineeship Programme offers students and recent graduates practical experience within international development projects. By working alongside experienced organisations, trainees gain professional skills, exposure to real projects, and the confidence to take their first steps into a career in global cooperation.
Volunteer Training Initiative (VTI)
The VTI initiative connects senior experts in the development cooperation field with professionals on site. Through volunteering, they provide tailored training that strengthen the capacities of younger professionals, helping them refine their skills and advance in their professional journey.
